Marine Technical Reserve

2016

To kill with water, presented at the solo show White Sea, is an ephemeral piece that shows the effects of ocean acidification on calcium based organisms. Through the submersion of unfired clay sculptures in water that in time degrades and dissolves. Leaving what resembles a murky and slimy coral cemetery. Each tank was filled with water on different dates during the exhibition so that the public could see all stages of the precess at once.
